Robert King of Raynham, devoted husband of the late Jacqueline (Gehling) King and a former longtime resident of Dedham, died on Thursday June 1 st at the age of 86. Raised lovingly by Henry and Katherine Dibbern of Dedham and his siblings, the late William Dibbern, Frances Mattson, Harrison Dibbern, and Charlotte Moody. He was later reunited with his biological brothers Jack Love, and the late Thomas Quigley, Ed Quigley and William Love. Robert served in the Army in the 4 th infantry division, where he was involved in the NATO mission in Germany. While serving in the army, he trained as a paratrooper. After he left Germany he worked for 30 years at the Domino Sugar Refinery in Charlestown, Massachusetts. Following his retirement, he returned to the Army as a recruiter, and became Sargent, first class. Robert worked throughout his life as the Dedham Voting Warden in precinct 2, and later became the Registrar of Voters, serving until 2014. His hobbies included golfing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his daughter Linda Morell and her husband Steve of Walpole, his daughter Nancy Martin and her husband Thomas of Raynham and his grandchildren, Hailee, Jaimee, Kristie, Erin Martin and Caralyn Morell. He is also survived by his brother, Jack Love of Dudley, Massachusetts and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will take place from 5 to 8 at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham on Sunday June 11 th . A private burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne Tuesday morning.
