William F. Spada

William Francis Spada, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010. He was 53. Billy was born in Norwood,the son of the late Nicholas A. and Catherine A. (O’Brien ) Spada, and attended Dedham Public Schools. Throughout his life he was a hardworking, giving man that always helped those in need.  He  was also an avid sports enthusiast. Billy retired from  the Dedham Department of Public Works after 20 years of service to the Town.  He worked at Fisher College, as well as owning and operating Spada Paving and Landscaping in Dedham for 26 years. Billy was the husband of the late Patricia A. (McGrath) Spada. He is survived by his children William F. Spada Jr. of Dedham and Deirdre Spada of Dedham; his sisters, AnnMarie Sullivan of Dedham, Catherine Whelan and her husband Richard, of Mansfield; his brothers, Nicholas Spada Jr., and his wife Jacqueline, of Dedham, Joseph Spada, and his wife Donna, of Dedham, John Spada, and his wife Paula, of Franklin, and James Spada, and his wife Debbie, of Canton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 pm in St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, December 17th at 10 O’clock at the church folloed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
