William E. Sr. Travis

William E. Travis, Sr. passed away on July 3, 2019 at the age of 91.  Born in Boston, he was the son of Albert W. and Laura L. (Emmel) Travis.  A Korean and WorldWar II veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his children,  William E., Jr. and his wife Carol of Minnesota, Janice Principe, Jean McGowan and her husband Richard, all of Norwood, and Steven Travis of Brockton, his siblings Frank Travis of Falmouth and Laura Ballard of Florida.  He was predeceased by his brother Albert Travis.  Also survived by his grandchildren; Christopher Morana, Jason and Mark Travis, Anthony Prinicipe, Richard, Emily and Jarred McGowan and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation from 11AM to 12PM will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood.  A graveside service and interment with military honors will follow at the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.
