Virginia E. Lamb

Virginia Edith Lamb, a longtime resident of Roslindale, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain.  She was 87.  Virginia was born September 9, 1932 in Jamaica Plain, the daughter of George Hester and Gladys May (York) Lamb.  She worked as a secretary for the John Hancock Insurance Company and then for Emmanuel Episcopal Church of West Roxbury where she was a longtime member, having joined there after the Church of Our Saviour In Roslindale closed.  Virginia was the sister of the late Richard G. Lamb and is survived by her niece Cathy Porter of Lakeland, Tennessee.  Graveside services and interment in Mount Hope Cemetery in Boton were private.
