Thomas James Clancy, a resident of Dedham for 19 years, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Home in Wayland after a long ilness.  He was 61.  Tom was born December 19, 1952 in Boston, Masachusetts, one of the five children of Thomas R. and Margaret (Goggin) Clancy.  He grew up in Roslindale and was inducted into the US Army in 1971, spending two years as a Private First Class during the Vietnam era.  Tom spent the last 10 years working as a metrologist for U Mass Biologics, a new drug development and manufacturing company.  He was a member of the Pool League at the Dedham Moose Club.  Tom is survived by his wife, Eleanor (McDonald) Clancy; his son, Thomas J. Clancy of Dedham; his two daughters, Amy Clancy and Sarah Clancy, both of Dedham; his parents, Thomas and Margaret (Goggin) Clancy of Roslindale; his sister, Kathleen M. Waxman of Roslindale; and his brothers, Edward M. Clancy of Dedham, and Brian W., and his wife Anne (Lydon) Clancy of Franklin.  He was the brother of the late Paul F. Clancy.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, April 29th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 10 AM and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 ‘o clock.  Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
