Shirley R. Barker

Shirley R. (Peterson) Barker a former resident of Bellingham, died on February 23,  2012 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.  She was 81.  Mrs. Barker was born in Boston, MA to the late Peter and Margaret (Lunde) Peterson.   She  worked as an administrative assistant for the “Seven-Up” Company  prior to her retirement.  She was the beloved wife of Gordon B. Barker, Sr. and the loving mother of Gordon B. Barker, Jr. and his wife Trisha of Norfolk, and Sharyn Feeney and her husband Daniel of Walpole.  She was the sister of Paul Petersen of New Hampshire and the late June Benson.  Shirley was the dear  grandmother of Joy, Scott, April, Alyson and Andrew and great grandmother of Peyton and Christopher.   Funeral services and burial are private.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA  02472.
