Russell K. Gustafson

Russell Karl Gustafson, a lifelong resident of West Roxbury, died Sunday, July 3rd, 2011 at the Brockton Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was 88. Russell was born June 7, 1923 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Karl and Alva Elizabeth (Anderson) Gustafsson. He served in the US Navy during World War two as a seaman 1st class. Russell worked as a self employed carpenter. He is survived by his sister, Viola Morse, and her husbabd Richard, ofCarver; his two brothers, Herbert Gustafson of Stoughton, and Harold Gustafson, of Hyde Park; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William, Lennart, Vincent, and Stanley Gustafson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service, with military honors,Wednesday, July 13th at 10 AM at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
