Robert D. Coutts, a longtime resident of Dedham died at his home after a long illness on June 4.  He was 80 years old.   Born in Watertown to the late James Coutts and the late Helen (Skinner).  He was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended Fitchburg State College.  Mr. Coutts served in the Army during the Korean War and held rank as corporal.  He was self-employed  as a finish carpenter and later worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier and retired in 1995.  He was a member of the American Legion, Post 18, the Dedham Men’s Club and the Disabled American Veterans.  He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Tuck) and his children, Scott Coutts, and his wife Lynn Eriksen of Lexington, Robert, and his wife Gita of Sherborn, Richard, and his fiancee Melanie Theriault of Cambridge, and Ellen, and her husband John Curran of Dedham.  He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Nelson of Needham.  He was predeceased by his siblings, James, David and William Coutts and  Dorothy St. Pierre.  He was the loving grandfather of Leah, Nikki, Taylor, Jonathan and Alex Coutts and Hannah, Jack and William Curran.  A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, June 7 at 2PM at the Allin Congregational Church, 683 High St., Dedham.  Interment will be private.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society,  30 Speen St., Framingham, MA  01701.
