Robert B. Shedd

Robert B. “Bob” Shedd passed away peacefully at his home in Walpole on October 2, 2015.  He was 90.   Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Harold and Winona (Butler) Shedd.  After graduating from Waltham High School, Bob served in World War II as a Military Police Officer in Europe. He completed his education at Bentley College in 1950.  He then began a thirty-five year accounting career, retiring from Cortland Bacall, CPA in 1990.  Bob was a lifelong member of the West Roxbury-Dorchester Masonic Lodge where he held many positions, including Master.  He also dedicated his time as treasurer for the Nicholas G. Beram Veterans Association and Bethany United Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn A. (Aborjaily); his sons, Robert P. Shedd of West Roxbury, and Daniel Shedd and his wife Susan of North Reading.; his sister, Helen Barber, of Marlboro; four grandchildren, Robert, Brianna, Andrew, and Nicole, and many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Ruth Shedd, Edith Corner, Marion Kennedy, and Barbara Beran, and the brother-in-law of Theodore and Joyce Neals of North Reading, James and Rosaline Buchonis of Centerville, and the late Peter and Frieda MacFarlane.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, October 7th from 4 to 8 PM at the Masonic Lodge, 655 High Street, Westwood with Service by the Nicholas G. Beram Veterans Association at 6 PM and a Masonic Service by the West Roxbury-Dorchester Masonic Lodge at 7:45 pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday at 11 am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood, followed by interment with military honors at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
