Reynold C. Lyons, a resident of Dedham, died on July 1, 2011 at the age of 91. He was born in Worcester, MA to the late Joseph A. and Ethel (Guertin). Mr. Lyons graduated from the Clarke School for the Deaf in 1937. He was previously employed by the National Youth Administration, was a textile machine operator for the Worcester Braiding Co. , an assembler for Warren Leather Goods Co. and an electronics printed circuit operator with Techron Corp. He was also a member of M.A.S.D. He met his wife Barbara (Dickinson) at the Clarke School and they were married for 52 years. Reynold was a lover of football, especially Holy Cross College and the Patriots. He never missed a game on television. Crossword puzzles were his daily enjoyment and every Friday night was game night with his neighbors, the Noll’s. They claim he was unbeatable in a game of Scrabble. Reynold was extremely social and a good friend to have. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Barbara; his sister Ethelyn Lamorey of Florida; his nephews Edward Lamorey of Florida, and Stephen Lamorey of Vermont; and his nieces Martha Lamorey of Florida, and JoAnne Lamorey of Texas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, July 7 at 11AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday, July 6 from 2-6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
