Phyllis J. Robertson

Phyllis Joan (Tate) Buttlar Robertson, a resident of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, and formerly of Bermerton, Washington, and Dedham, Massachusetts, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Ft. Myers.  She was 87.  Phyllis was born December 3, 1927 in Sydney, Australia, a daughter of Robert F. and Beryl Olive Ruby (Jenkins) Tate.  She graduated from Penrith High School in Australia.  Phyllis was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Dedham from 1947 until 1992 and attended St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ft. Myers Beach.  She will be remembered as the Avon Lady and as a district Manager for Avon products, and as a volunteer for the Hospital Auxilliary in Bremerton, Washington.  She was a hard worker and will be remembered as a loving Mother. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold L. Buttlar in 1956 and Stanley Robertson in 2003.  She is survived by her three children, Sandra Buttlar O’Neil, and her husband John, of Plainfield Connecticut, Shirley Buttlar Skapriwsky, and her husband Peter, of Rochester, New York, and Harold Buttlar, and his wife Martha, of Bremerton, Washington; her brother, Jeffrey Tate of Australia; her seven grandchildren Phyllis O’Neil Gartman, Pamela O’Neil Haggett, Melissa Skapriwsky, Matthew Skapriwsky, Christina Skapriwsky, Lauren Buttlar Bergen,and Ryan Buttlar; and her five great grandchildren, Ashley Haggett, Sarah Haggett, AlexSander Skapriwsky, Shaun Buttlar, and Mattie Buttlar.  Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday at 10 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 950 East Street, Dedham followed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham
