Phyllis B. Mccormack

Phyllis Barbara (Powers) McCormack, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.  She was 88.  Phylis was born October 22, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the two daughters of George F. and Nora A. (Regan) Powers.  Phyllis worked for 30 years as a cashier for the Boston Globe.  She was the wife of the late Earl J. McCormack who predeceased her on March 8, 2015, and the mother of the late Michael McCormack.  Phyllis is survived by her son, Jay P. McCormack, and his wife Eileen, of Seekonk; her grandchildren, Michael, Shane, and Meghan McCormack; and her sister, Marie Power, of Florida.  Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9  PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 MIlton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations to the VNA Care Network and Hospice, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602 would be appreciated.
