Pauline E. Griffiths

Pauline Eleanor (Chandler) Griffiths, a resident of Mansfield for 5 years, and formerly of Westwood for over 40 years, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Southeast Rehabilitation Center in North Easton.  She was 82.  Pauline was born April 28, 1932 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, a daughter of Sumner Wesley and Olive (Taber) Chandler.  She grew up in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School before attending the New England Conservatory of Music.  Pauline was the church organist at the First Parish Church in Westwood, at the Stratford Street Unkited Church in West Roxbury and finally at the United Church in Norwood.  She was also an active member of Samoset Chaapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Norwood.  Pauline was the wife of the late Arthur  Charles Griffiths.  She is survived by her son, Charles L. Griffiths of Norwood; her daughter Brenda Stanton of South Easton; her sister, Cynthia Gregoire of Hudson; and her grandson, William Patrick Stanton IV.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, November 12th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday at 10 AM at the Funeral Home followed by burial in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.  In lieu of flowers donations to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 72 East Concord Street, C3, Boston, MA 02118 would be appreciated.
