Paul J. Griffin

Paul James Griffin, a resident of New Pond Village in Walpole, and formerly of Roslindale, died Monday, January 17, 2022 at his home in Walpole.  he was 86.  Paul was born February 27, 1935 in Brighton, Massachusetts, the son of Bartholomew and Bridget Griffin, immigrants from Ireland. Paul attended Brighton High School before enlisting in the US Army where he served untill his honorable discharge in 1961 as a Sergeant.  Paul worked as an oil burner technician and installer for MacFarlane Oil Company and then for Deveney Oil Company for 20 years until his retirement.  Paul was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies.  He was the husband of the late Helen Emma (DiModica) Griffin for 43 years until she predeceased him in 2004.  Paul is survived by four children, Dean C. Griffin of Tewksbury, Joel P. Griffin, and his wife Janet, of Walpole, Frank J. Griffin of Health, and Sherri A. Griffin; and his four grandchildren, Shane, Ashley, Abigail, and Ava Griffin.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Jan 20th from 5 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale.  Relative and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 would be appreciated.
