Ottie Rose Paduano, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. She was 93. Ottie was born January 26, 1917 in Dedham, Massachusetts, a daughter of James and Rose (Palermo) Paduano, immigrants from Italy. She graduated from Dedham High School and started work with the Boston Envelope Company in Dedham where she worked for 20 years. Ottie then took a job working with the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds, where she worked for the next 55 years, retiring as a Supervisor. She was the sister of the late Carmella Capone and the late Lena A. Paduano. Ottie is survived by her niece, Patricia Sweeney of Norwood; her nephew, Alfred Capone of Dedham; three grandnieces; a great grandniece, and two great grandnephews. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 22nd from 5 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Thursday morning at 8 AM, and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o clock. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham. Donations in Ottie’s memory to the Society for the Propogation of the Faith, 49 Franklin Street, Boston, MA 02110 would be appreciated.
