Vijay K. Joshua, 82 of Norwood, MA. Passed away peacefully on January 26, 2020. Devoted Husband to Lata (who pre-deceased him by 7 years), caring brother to Pushpalata, uncle to Ajay, Lalita, Ranjana and David; Also survived by cousins in Indiana and India. Additionally pre-deceased by one brother and two sisters in India. Vijay earned his MBA at the University of Maine in Orono, ME before settling into a career lasting 40+ years in the Norwood, MA area where he developed close bonds with all who knew him. Vijay was active at multiple area houses of worship, including Carter Memorial UMC of Needham Heights and was heavily involved within his local chapter of Rotary International – like his father before him. Vijay enjoyed music (himself, an accordion player in his youth), playing racquetball and was an avid fan of his beloved Boston area sports teams. He was also known for introducing many friends to the Indian restaurants of the greater Norwood area and was well-known to their proprietors. Private funeral arrangements will be coordinated by Folsom Funeral Service, Saturday, February 29, 2020, followed by a private memorial service to be held at Carter Memorial UMC of Needham Heights.
