None Penelope Chapman

Penelope Joan (Basilici) Chapman, a longtime resident of Readville, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Highgate Manor Nursing Home in Dedham.  She was 73.  Penelope was born August 4, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts, the only daughter of Paul and Madaline (Zapff) Basilici.  She graduated from Hyde Park High School with the Class of 1961 and worked as a machine operator for Boston Envelope Company.  Penelope was an avid reader.  She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Chapman; her two sons, Ronald G. Chapman Jr. and David P. Chapman, both of Readville; her daughter, Lori A. Chapman of Boston; two granddaughters, Misty Chapman of Florida, and Samantha Chapman, and her husband Geno Guinan, of Readville;  and two great grandsons, Noah and Griffin Guinan.  Penelope was the sister of the late Paul “Skippy” Basilici, and the late William “Billy” Basilici.  Visiting hours will be held Sunday, July 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, July 17th at 10 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 950 East Street, Dedham followed by burial in the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, Baker Street, West Roxbury.  In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
