Marion V. (Jacobson) Juckett, 88, of South Easton, MA, passed away on March 15, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She spent the last weeks of her life surrounded by family and loving care in her daughter’s home.
Marion was born in Arlington, MA, to the late Melker and Maria Jacobson, who emigrated from Sweden and instilled a love of the Swedish culture in their family. Marion and her late husband, Wayne, were high school sweethearts, and married in 1949; they raised their children in Dedham, and later moved to Easton. They enjoyed “island life” on Lake Winnipesauke, especially watching their children, grandchildren, and all their friends spend time together and enjoy the beauty of the lake.
Those who knew her commented on both her natural beauty and her generous and welcoming nature. She most enjoyed being surrounded by all of her family and is remembered by everyone for her Christmas dinner celebration.
Marion and Wayne started a business in 1969 and Marion worked full time until she was 85 years old, demonstrating her dedication to the family business and its success. At the end of the day, Marion was known to enjoy her signature cocktail, a Manhattan.
Marion is survived by her son Mark Juckett and his wife Debbie of Bourne, MA, daughter Kristine Terrio of Concord, NH, daughter-in-law Colleen Maider of Norwood, MA and grandchildren, Ryan Juckett, Kate Tallberg and her husband Anders, Steven Juckett, Elisabeth Terrio, Allison Juckett and Carly Juckett. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Ann-Marie Blomquist of Dedham and her nephews, Ken, Paul and Dave Blomquist and their families. Marion was also predeceased by her loving son, Carl Juckett.
Visiting hours will be held at Folsom Funeral home, 649 High Street, Westwood, on Tuesday March 28, between 5:30-7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CRVNA, Hospice, 30 Pillsbury St, Concord, NH 03301.
