None Margaret Shackford

Margaret Elsa “Greta” (Johnson) Shackford, a resident of Dedham for 62 years, and recently of Duxbury, died Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at her home in Duxbury.  She was 98.  Greta was born October 29, 1910 in Norwood, MA, the daughter of the late Axel E., and Elsa Maria (Svantesson) Johnson.  She grew up in Norwod and was a graduate of Norwood High School.  She was the wife of the late George Crosby Shackford who predeceased her in 1998.  Greta is survived by her two daughters, Margaret E. Stoddard, and her husband Bill, of Duxbury, and Karen D. Tedeman of Boston; her brother, Ivar Johnson of Westwood; three grandchildren, David Stoddard, John Tedeman, and Scott Tedeman; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Nov 12th from 6-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St., Westwood.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday at 11 AM at the Lucy Stone Chapel at Forest Hills Crematory, Walk Hill St,  Forest Hills, MA.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 would be appreciated.
