Louise (Jordan) Mugridge, a resident of Westwood since 1953, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Edelweiss Village in West Roxbury.  She was 97.  Louise was born June 24, 1919 in Newton, Massachusetts, a daughter of William Taylor and Marie Marguerite (Stucklen) Jordan.  She graduated from Watertown High School with the class of 1936 and earned her Bachelor degree from Simmons College with the class of 1940.  Louise worked for 7 years as a financial researcher of Scudder, Stevens & Clark, and then an additional 7 years as an executive secretary for Gulf Oil Company before leaving the workforce to raise her family.  She returned to the workforce after her husband’s death in 1980 and spent a dozen years as an aide at Westwood Lodge attending to troubled youth, which she found very fulfilling.  Louise was a member of the Islington Community Church where she held “every office in the church” as well as running the Mother’s Morning Out nursery school at the church.  Louise was the wife of the late Ernest Campbell Mugridge, and the sister of the late Nancy Strohmeyer.  She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L, Mastronardi, and her husband Andrew, of Austin, Texas; her son, William C. Mugridge, and his wife Mary, of Liverpool, New York; her four grandchildren, Jeffrey Mugridge, Bethany Mugridge, Jordan A. Mastronardi, and Cory Ganschow; 5 great grandchildren, and her Siamese cat, Cocoa.  Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11 am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to Edelweiss Village, 2220 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132 would be appreciated.
