Leota Evangeline (Taylor) Patterson, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Deutsches Altenheim Nursing Home in West Roxbury.  She was 88.  Leota was born October 1, 1925 in Berwick, Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of Frederick C. and Alberta (Taylor) Taylor.  Lee worked as a cashier for Star Market and was a member of Group One of the Dedham Senior Citizens Club, and the Vice President of the Young at Heart Club in Dedham.  Lee was the wife of the late James Patterson and the sister of the late Laurence Taylor, the late Gerald Taylor, the late Evelyn Murray, and the late Ida Wambolt.  She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Anderson of Dedham, and Linda Victoria of Crossville, Tennessee; her two grandchildren, Tracey LeGendre and Jennifer Anderson; her two great grandchildren, Christopher and Abby LeGendre; her brother, Gary Taylor of Nova Scotia; and her two sisters, Lottie Gamble, and Andrea Hale, both of Nova Scotia.  Lee was the loving companion of Chief Donovan.  Visiting hours will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 from 3 to 7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by interment in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Patient Activities Fund at the Deutsches Altenhem, 2222 Centre St., West Roxbury, MA 02132 would be appreciated.
