James H. “Jimmy” Anderson, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died Thursday, January 29th, 2009 at his home in Dedham after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 53. Jimmy was born in Boston, MA on June 14, 1955 the only son of the late Henry Clarence and Marguerite Irene (Burns) Anderson. He served in the US Army, and worked as a laborer for the State Highway Department for 18 years before working for the Department of Public Works in Dedham for six years. He is survived by his sister Marguerite “Peggy” Saegh and her husband Dewey of South Walpole, his twin sister Jean, and her husband Kenny McLeish of Dedham, his nephew Scott, and his wife Joni Saegh of Wrentham, and his best friend Tommy Bryan of Westwood. He was the uncle of the late Brian Saegh. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, February 1st from 1-5 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Monday at 8 AM and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for his Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o clock. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
