None Helen Hoban

Helen T. (Willett) Hoban – of Dedham, July 21.  Loving mother of Laurie Shea and her husband Jim of Norwood, Michael Hoban and his former wife Susan of Newton, Kelly Stoebel and her husband Jeff of Norwood, Vinny Hoban and his former wife Elaine of Dedham, the late Gary Hoban and Paul Hoban.  Dear sister of Charlotte Langione of Dedham, the late Joan Gorrell, Marilyn Logan  and Charles Willett. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A resident of Dedham for nearly 60 years, Helen retired from Teledyne Philbrick in Dedham following a long career. In addition to raising her six children, she served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts while her boys were in grammar school. A lifelong lover of the American Songbook and Broadway soundtracks, Helen was able to perform in shows later in life with the Norwood Senior Center, and participated  in numerous activities at the Doggett Circle Senior Center in Dedham as well. Helen loved to travel, and her itinerary included trips to Ireland, Bermuda, and Disney with her family on her 65th birthday, but her most memorable trip was a train ride to the west coast with her siblings following her retirement. She will be remembered by all for her warm smile and extraordinarily kind nature.   Visiting hours Thursday 4-8PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., DEDHAM.  Funeral Friday at 10AM at the funeral home.  Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org would be appreciated.
