None Genovefa Mintsas

Genovefa (Trellopoulos) Mintsas, a resident of Norwood for the past three years, but formerly of Roslindale for over 40 years, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home in Norwood.  She was 89.  Genovefa was born May 3, 1927 in Platanakia, Serres, Greece, a daughter of Efstathios and Fotini (Athanasiadou) Trellopoulos.  She worked for  forty years as a seamstress in the clothing and bag manufacturing industry.  Genovefa was the wife of the late Theodore Mintsas.  She is survived by her sister, Kiriaki Karypidis of Norwood, and her three brothers, Peter Treon of West Roxbury, Andy Treon of Roslindale, and Nicholas Trellopoulos of Greece.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale.  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9 AM and proceed to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church for her funeral service at 10 o clock.  Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
