Deirdre (Hart) Weis, a resident of Westwood for the past 12 years, and formerly of West Roxbury, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at her home in Westwood after a long illness. She was 50. Deirdre was born October 14, 1958 in Glen Cove, New York, a daughter of Margaret (Fitzgibbon) and the late Joseph William Hart. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, New York and earned her Associate degree from Marymount College in Virginia. She then attended American University in Washington DC. Deirdre worked for Quick & Reilly in New York for many years and for Bear Stearns in Boston for two years. She was a member of the Socialites Bowling League in Brockton for many years. In addition to her mother, Deirdre is survived by her husband, James V. Weis; her twosons, Brian J. Weis and Christopher J. Weis, both of Westwood; two brothers, David Hart of Northampton, MA and Michael Hart of Larkspur, CA; her sister, Jacqueline Winston of New York City, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St, Westwood. Relatives and friends will gather at the Funeral Home Monday at 9 AM and proceed to St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o clock. Burial will be in New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Jimmy Fund, c/o the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445 would be appreciated.
