None Christine Swanson

Christine A. Swanson, a resident of Walpole, formerly of Norwood, passed away on October 12.  Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Arnold A. and Neona (Cleaves) Swanson.  She is the dear sister of Donna Guimond and her husband Neal of Litchfield, NH, Ronald Swanson and his wife Constance of Frederick, Maryland and Robert Swanson and his wife Cynthia of Carver, MA.   She was the lifelong friend of Patty Drake of Norwood.

Tina spent the last 35 years working as a nurse at Norwood Hospital, VA Medical Center and MCI Cedar Junction.  She recently received a Humanitarian Award sponsored by the Massachusetts Dept. of Corrections for saving a coworkers life.  She had the wonderful gift of caring for others and will be fondly remembered as always giving of herself to others with her warm heart.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 19 from 4 to 7PM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood.  A celebration of her life will be on Saturday October 20 at 11AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.   In lieu of flowers donations in Christine’s memory may be made to Bloom – A home for teenage girls in crisis https://www.tcnebloom.org/
