None Carole Berry

Carole (Cronin) Berry, of Trinity, FL,age 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 4.  Born and raised in East Lansing MI, she attended Michigan State for her undergraduate education. After completing her JD, and later PhD at Ohio State University, she joined the faculty at Capital University Law School in 1974. There she directed the Law School’s Graduate Tax and Business Programs as well as the Legal Research and Writing Program. A passionate and challenging teacher, Professor Berry taught Tax Research, Tax Procedure, Legal Writing and Research, and Oral Advocacy.  A trail blazer for other female lawyers, in 2004 she was appointed Professor Emeritus at Capital Law. She retired to Florida to live her remaining years in the sunshine with her late husband Robert C. Berry of Trinity, FL. She is also preceded in death by her former husband Robert A. Butler of Columbus, OH. A wonderful and loving mother and doting grandmother, she is survived by her only daughter, Beth Ann Jerskey, and son-in-law, Eric, of Westwood; and grandsons Joshua and Ender of Boston; step-sons Dana Berry of San Francisco and James Doak Berry of NY. A small private memorial service is planned for April.
