Alexander Tradd a longtime resident of Dedham, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston.  He was 84.  Alexander was born May 14, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Elias and Mary (Tradd) Tradd, immigrants from Lebanon.  He was the owner and operator of Tradd Grocery Store on Washington Street, in West Roxbury.  Al was a member of the Avery School Bowling League, an avid casino enthusiast, an auto racing fan, and he enjoyed sports and playing cards.  He was the father of the late Michael Tradd and is survived by his wife, Frances E. (Clancy) Tradd; his children, Alexander D. Tradd, and his wife Karen, of Foxboro, Mary Powell of Norwood, Beverlee O’Brien, and her husband Robert, of Plymouth, John Tradd, and his wife Nancy Behenna, of Foxboro, Robert P. Tradd of Dedham, Jennifer Reynolds, and her husband Robert, of Hanson, and Gregory R. Tradd of Hyde Park; his sister,, Vivian Jones of Stoughton; his brother-in-law Bill Seaver, of Chestnut Hill; 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Dec 20th from 4 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Al’s funeral Wednesday, Dec 21st at 11 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
