Mary Louisa (Davis) Frye, a 20 year resident of East Taunton, and formerly of Dedham, died Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton.  She was 92.  Mary was born July 7, 1929 in Buffalo, New York, one of the ten children of Charles K. and Catherine (Dodd) Davis.  Mary was a social butterfly who loved to dance, enjoyed playing the piano, was a member of the Taunton Elks Club, and was an active committed Christian who worshipped at the Christ Community Church in Taunton.  Mary was the wife of the late George William Frye who predeceased her in 2001, and the mother of the late Catherine Annese.  She is survived by her son, John E. Frye, and his wife Kathy, of Taunton; her three grandchildren, John E. Frye II, Ashley Frye, and Dominic Annese; and her five great grandchildren, Georgia, and Dixie Frye, and Olivia, Giorgio, and Vincenzo Annese.  Mary was the last surviving sibling of the late James, Charles K., Frank W., Thomas N., David D. and Ruth E. Davis, Martha E. Jones, Margaret Solomon, and Catherine Kiesel.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 12th from 4 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  The Reverend Steve Kitchen will officiate at Mary’s Funeral which will be held Friday at 10 AM at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
