Mary Jane Coffey, a life long resident of Dedham, died peacefully at home with family on Thursday, January 19, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born in Dedham and would have turned 90 on February 2nd, 2012. Mary was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Evelyn A. (Bosselmann) Youngblood. She was a graduate of the
Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown. Mary worked as a secretary and transcriptionist for 6 years at U-Mass Boston and for 10 years at Harvard Medical School. She retired in 1990. Mary was a former member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Dedham. She was predeceased by her husband John J. Coffey II and her son John J. Coffey III, as well as her brother Charles Youngblood and her life long friend Sabra Oulton.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Lynne Flodin of Walpole. Per mary’s request funeral services are private. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050
