Mary (Fogerty) Long

Mary (Fogerty) Long, of Natick, and formerly a longtime resident of Dedham, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick.  She was 88.  Mary was born March 29, 1922 in Dedham, Massachusetts, one of the four daughters of John P. and Frances M. (Lynen) Fogerty.  She worked as a payroll clerk for Baker Shoe Company.  Mary was the wife of the late Ernest W. Long, and the sister of the late Anna Mollineaux, and the late Jean Gardner. She is survived by her son, Steven Long, of Florida; her two daughters, Patricia Briant, of Carrollton, Texas, and Barbara Stone of Natick, Massachusetts; her sister, Barbara Neilson of Dedham; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, December 28th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 10 AM and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o clock.  Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
