Marilyn Claire (Henry) Nelson, a resident of Westwood for 60 years, passed away at her home on May 22 with her family by her side at the age of 95. Marilyn was born in Brooklyn, New York to Ralph and Claire Henry. She Married Herbert in 1944 and settled in Westwood where they had three children of their own. Marilyn was a career realtor throughout Westwood and the surrounding towns, and was quite involved at the First Parish Church of Westwood. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Herbert R. Nelson, and dear mother of Paul R. and wife Cathy M. of Norwell, Carol L. of Vineyard Haven, and Gail E. of Weymouth. Loving sister of the late Joyce E. Henry of PA. Services are private, at which time Marilyn will be interred at old Westwood Cemetery with her husband on their 72nd wedding anniversary. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s name to Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 would be appreciated.
