Marie Anna (Roberts) Valentine, a resident of Westwood since 1952, died Monday, August 31st at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood after a long illness.  She was 90.  Marie was born November 16, 1918 in Millis, Massachusetts, a daughter of William C., and Marie M. (Heller) Roberts. She worked at the Wrentham State School, as a kindergarten teacher for Mary Blasknek’s school in Westwood, as a waitress at the Bubbling Brook Restaurant in Westwood, and as a camp counsellor at Ocean Park during the 1970’s.  Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holden, and presently of the First Baptist Church of Westwood where  she taught Sunday School for more than a dozen years.  She also volunteered at Norwood Hospital for many years, and was a member of Contentment Chapter #184 of Westwood for over 50 years.  Marie was the wife of the late Louis C. Valentine, and the sister of the late Madeline Myers, Viola Roberts, and Roberta M. Clerici.  She is survived by her son, Louis C. Valentine, and his wife Linda, of Westwood; her sister, Ruth A Cross of Holden, Massachusetts; her four grandchildren, Paul Valentine, and his wife Jennie of Forestdale, Darren Valentine, and his wife Noreen, of Westwood, Brian Valentine, and his wife Debbie of Sandwich, and Leigha Valentine of Westwood; and her six great granchildren, Chelsey, Sam, Cameron, Cassie, Nicole and Amanda.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday 5-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood with an Eastern Star Service by Contentment Chapter #184 of Westwood at 7 o clock.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church, Westwood followed by interment in New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church, 808 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090 would be appreciated.
