Maria E. Ortiz

Maria Esther Ortiz of Jamaica Plain, died September 16, 2011 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was 78.  Maria was born January 30, 1933 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Manuel and Carmen (Reyes) Ortiz. She was the wife of the late Francisco Torres and is survived by two sons, George and John; three daughter, Carmen, Frances and Laura; as well as many grandchildren.  A graveside service will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 at 1 PM at Needham Cemetery.
