Margery E. Hancox

Margery Edith (MacBride) Hancox, a longtime resident of Westwood, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Norwood.  She was 86.  Margery was born November 7, 1928 in Somerville, Massachusetts, the youngest child of James and Mary Edith (Waterson) MacBride.  She was employed as a secretary at Westwood High School for many years.  Margery was the wife of the late George Macabe Hancox, who was an English teacher at Westwood High School, and the sister of the late David McBride, the late William MacBride, and the late Mary Metcalf.  She is survived by her daughter, Judith M. Hancox of Norwood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Services and interment will be private.  Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 would be appreciated.
