Lorraine M. Boudrot (Aker), a former resident of Dedham and currently of Plymouth, died on December 22, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was 81.
Mrs. Boudrot was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late George V. and Mary A. (Farlardeau) Aker. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Boudrot. She worked for New England Telephone and raised two daughters. She was active in her daughter’s lives and served as a Campfire leader, a CCD teacher, and in Rainbow Mother’s Club.
She later worked as a travel agent, and a cashier at Star Market in Chestnut Hill. She was an Avon Representative for many years. She enjoyed playing poker with family and friends, supporting charities and loved to travel around the world, especially with her husband and her girls. Her greatest joy was her family and those she considered family.
Lorraine leaves behind her daughters Susan M. of Plymouth, and Pamela A. of Plymouth and Los Angeles. She was predeceased by her brother Elmer (Al) Aker, and her sisters Evelyn Bowyer and Helen Volpe. She is survived by her brother Francis (Frank) Aker of E. Dennis and her sister Mary Dauphinais of Hingham as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday at 9AM at St. Susanna’s Parish, 262 Needham St., Dedham. Burial is private. Visiting hours Tuesday at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham from 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or to the Disabled American Veterans Association (DAV), PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
