Loretta Marion (Grenon) Belanger, a resident of Westwood for 31 years, and formerly of Foxboro, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. She was 96. Loretta was born July 26, 1917 in Dracut, Massachusetts, thelast surviving child of Homidas and Celina (Gallant) Grenon, immigrants from Canada. She graduated from Lowell High School and worked for almost 20 years as an order processer for the Foxboro Company until her retirement in 1982. Loretta enjoyed knitting, embroidery, crocheting, and craftwork. She was the wife of the late Peter Grondine and the late Albert Belanger; and the sister of the late Leo Grenon, the late Roger Grenon, the late Juliette Ford, and the late Doris Lepine. Loretta is survived by her three children, Lorraine Lefebvre and her husband Armand, of Dracut, Richaqrd Grondine of Washington, DC, and Maureen Mucciaccio, and her husband Robert, of East Walpole; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Private burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers donations in Loretta’s memory to the Activities Department of the Ellis Nursing Home, 135 Ellis Avenue, Norwood, MA, 02026 would be appreciated. Loretta’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Ellis Nursing Home for the excellent care they gave her in her declining years.
