Lois Irene Watson, a resident of Stoughton, and formerly of Norwood, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at her brother’s home in East Brodgewater after a difficult battle with ovarian cancer. She was 60. Lois was born July 18, 1949 in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of Howard G., and Alice R. (Colmer) Watson. She grew up in Norwood, graduated from Norwood High School, and then from Framingham State College. Lois was a longtime employee of the American Red Cross, and more recently worked for National Amusements. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Norwood where she sang in the choir and rang handbells. Lois is survived by her brother, Walter Watson, and his wife Martha, of East Bridgewater; her four dear nephews, Greg, Bryan, John and Tim; and eleven cherished grandnephews and grandnieces. She was a supportive presence in the lives of her family. She will be greatly missed. Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 19th from 4-8 PM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood. Lois’ Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at New England Baptist Church, 560 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA. Private interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701, www.cancer.org , would be appreciated.
