Leo Joseph DiCesare, a resident of North Easton for over 30 years, died Friday, October 7, 2011 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was 86. He was born and raised in the Readville area of Hyde Park by his late parents Giovanni and Angelina ( Navaroli) DiCesare. Leo joined the United States Navy in 1943, during World War II. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal. He was a proud Life member of the VFW Post #2547 of Easton. Mr. DiCesare loved to play golf and was the oldest member of the Pine Oaks Golf Club of Easton. He was a self employed carpenter for many years with the TOMLEO Construction Company and with Marlin Construction Company. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Margeorgy M. (Driscoll) DiCesare of North Easton; his children Donna L. Avery and her husband Tom of South Daytona, FL., Lori D. Lombardo and her husband Robert of Wayne, ME. and Leon J. DiCesare and his wife Josie of Greenville, NC.; his sisters Julia DiCesare of Hyde Park, Velia DiCesare of Hyde Park, and Linda Pacini of Easton; his brothers Albert DiCesare of Chatham and George DiCesare of Santa Rosa, CA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Dominic, John and Alfred DiCesare. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011,from 4-6 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
