Kathleen L. Mcnamara

Kathleen Louise (O’Connell) McNamara, a resident of Westwood for 50 years, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Ma.  She was 90.  Kathleen was born December 19, 1920 in Medford, Massachusetts, the only child of Arthur Francis and Katherine Louise (Hughes) O’Connell.  Kathleen volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Westwood, for the Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Norwood, and for the South Norfolk Association for Retarded Citizens (SNARC) in Westwood.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Daniel Leo McNamara; her son, Daniel S. McNamara of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her two grandchildren, Christopher D. McNamara and Jennifer E. McNamara; and her greatgrandchild, Carson McNamara.  Kathleen was the mother of the late Kathleen McNamara.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 9 AM and proceed to St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o clock.  Burial will follow in New Westwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to South Norfolk Association for Retarded Citizens, 789 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood, MA 02090 would be appreciated.
