Joseph W. Fay

Joseph Wilfred Fay, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Tuesday, may 31, 2022 at his home in Dedham. He was 82. Joseph was born May 31, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the eleven children of William A. and Ruth C. (McMillan) Fay. He was a firefighter for the City of Boston stationed with Ladder 24, Engine 4. Joseph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Mary (Smigielski) Fay; his four daughters, Cynthia, Judith, Laura, and Jennifer; his siblings, James, Mary and Ruth; two granddaughters; and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late William, Thomas, John, Catherine, Patricia, Marion, Francis, and Joseph. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, June 4th from 3 to 7 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Interment will be private.
