Joseph G. Sears

d. July 24, 2014

Joseph G. Sears, 71 of Dedham, MA died July 24, 2014.

Born on October 22, 1942 to the late Joseph W. Sears  and Marie Possemato Sears.

He was a retired Corrections Officer with the Norfolk County of Corrections. He retired after 25 years of service there.

He lived for his family and Christmas mornings. He loved vacationing, day trips to places like Canobie Lake Park, casino’s and horse racing.  One of his dreams was to own his own race horse.   He lit up the room when he walked in and left an impression on everyone he came across. He also loved making model cars in his workshop and loved animals, especially his dogs and cat.

He always made sure his family was happy and never went without. Even up until the day he passed. He was the most unselfish man and a lot of people’s hero.

He is survived by his daughter Danielle Sears and her companion Jonathan Jenkins, his youngest daughter Tiffaney Bastille and her husband Pete, his grandson Deontae and granddaughter Isis, his step children Diane Lavita Luoma and her brother Daniel Lavita along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and many close friends.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday,  July 30, 2014 at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 8PM.  Interment is private
