Joseph Anthony Egan, a resident of Norwood, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood.  He was 64. Joseph was born November 14, 1953 in Montevideo, Uruguay.  He was the son of James Patrick and Mildred (Quinn) Egan.  Joseph attended the New England School of Photography and Northern Essex Community College and enlisted in the US Army and served for three years as an infantryman, radio operator, and a staff sergeant in Vietnam.  Joseph was a founding member of the Moose Club in Newburyport, an avid Bronco’s and Red Sox Fan, and he enjoyed bowling, golf, photography, Final Fantasy, and Warcraft.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lynn (O’Leary) Egan; his daughter, Sarah Michelle Murphy, and her husband Kenneth, of Bradford; his brother, Robert Stephenson of Oregon; and his five grandchildren, Joseph Robert McCandles, Kaiden, Kaiya, Kellin, and Keegan Murphy.  He is also survived by his step daughter Abby Brown of Norwood, and his dear friends Carl and Marianne Vigstedt of South Carolina.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 from noon to 3 pm at the Folsom and May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood.  A funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Jimmy Fund, c/o the Dana Farber Caner Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 would be appreciated.
