John G.C. Banks

John Gerald Christopher Banks, a resident of Fox Hill Village in Westwood, and formerly of Syracuse, Martha’s Vineyard, and Fayetteville, New York, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home in Westwood.  He was 77.  John was born January 21, 1941 in Mt Kisco, New York, the son of Charles Green and Martha Henrietta (Siggelkow) Banks.  He attended Brown University and graduated from Columbia University with his Bachelor of Arts degree.  He served his country in the Marine Reserves.  John worked as a stockbroker and investment advisor for RBC Dain Rauscher Company.  In 1965 he married Julia Ensign (Spencer) and is also survived by their son, John Spencer Banks of Pittsford, New York; their daughter, Julia Palmer Banks Hauck of Westwood; his brother Charles Green Banks Jr. of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; his sister Sandra Palmer Banks Tucker, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren, Alison Spencer Banks, Parker James Banks, Caroline Sloane Hauck, John Allen Hauck III, and Julia Eleanor Reid Hauck.  A public Memorial Service is being planned for the Spring
