John C. “Jiggy” Musto, a longtime resident of Norwood, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.  He was 92.  Jiggy was born September 6, 1921 in Framingham, Massachusetts, the son of Nicholas and Ellen (Gilman) Musto.  He attended Roslindale High School before being inducted into the US Army during World War Two, where he served as a Staff Segreant, earning a bronze star in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign in the Aleutian Islands.  John worked for over 30 years as a roll mill operator for NRC Corporation in Norton, MA until his retirement in 1988.  He was the husband of the late Ruth Marie (Schramm) who predeceased him in 2008, and the brother of the late Paul Musto, the late Walter Musto, and the late Rosalie Weston.  Jiggy is survived by his two daughters, Janet Wilmot of East Walpole, and Brenda Musto of Norwood; his brother Victor Musto, and Victor’s wife Linda, of Wareham; his sister-in-law Patricia Musto of Lowell; and his brother-in-law Roy Weston of New Hampshire. He was the loving grampy of Richard, Erich, and Kate Wilmot, all of East Walpole, and dear uncle Jiggy to many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother-in-law and lifelong friend of the late George Schramm. Visitng hours will be held Sunday, July 20th from Noon to 4 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood followed by his funeral service at 4 PM in the funeral home with the Reverend James Butler of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Dedham officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service with military honors Monday at 11 AM at Highland Cemetery, Winter Street, Norwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Maples Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund, c/o Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, 90 Taunton Street, Wrentham, MA 02093 would be appreciated.
