Joan M. Everett

Joan M. Everett (Thorsell), of Mansfield, died on October 3 at the age of 74.  Born in Boston and raised in Dedham, she was the daughter of the late L. Robert and Doris (Siefert) Thorsell.  She graduated from Dedham High School, Class of 1954.  Later on she attended Stonehill College and graduated in 1985.  Formerly of Randolph, she was the Assistant Registrar of Voters for the Town of Randolph until she retired.  Mrs. Everett loved geneology and tracing her ancestors was one of her hobbies, along with crafting, knitting and crocheting.   She was the beloved wife of Herbert A. for 54 years.  Together they raised their 3 children, Dennis of Randolph, Karol Miller of Buzzards Bay and Steven of Mansfield.  She is also survived by her brother Robert Thorsell and his wife Susan of Foxboro, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 1 grand nephew.  She was the aunt of the late Robert L. Thorsell.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 11AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.  Burial  will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Beacon Hospice, Inc. 182 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720 or to the charity of your choice.
