Jeffrey S. Morris

Jeffery Steven Morris, a resident of Dedham for over 50 years died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association. He was 64. Jeffery was born October 29 ^th , 1946 in Boston, MA. He attended Boston Latin School then moved to Dedham were he graduated from Dedham High School. He attended North Eastern University where he studied Electrical Engineering. He went on to have a 30+ year career as an electrical Engineer at Digital Marine Electronic, later to become Northstar where he worked extensively on the development of the Loran Navigational Technology and later GPS technology. Jeffery enjoyed music, electronics, computers, model railroading, radio controlled models, skiing, flying and racquetball. His extended family held a very important place in his life, and he made it a point to keep abreast of family happenings. Jeffrey is survived by his brother Randall “Randy” Morris, and his wife Susan “Sam”, and their daughter Megan; and his cousins, Karen Hutchins, and her husband Jeff of Medfield and their children Kristen and Jeffery, and Jennifer West, and her husband David of Burlington, CT, and their children Stephanie and Gregory. Service and interment will be private. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
