Janis M. Scott

Janis Margaret Scott, a loving and devoted mother, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her home in Weymouth.  She was  66.  Janis was born September 3, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of William R. and Vivian (Lehtonen) Scott.  During her life, Janis worked as a nurse, florist and hairdresser. What she was most proud of  and gave  Janis the most joy was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.  She shared with them her passion for arts and crafts, antiques, sewing, painting and making jewelry.  She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Russo and her husband David of Dedham; her three grandchildren, Eva, Marc, and Miles Russo; and her sister Lorraine Volpe of Milton.  She was the sister of the late Nancy Graham.  Visiting hours will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Interment will be private.
