Helen M. Darcy

Helen Marie (McDonough) Darcy, a resident of Dedham, passed away on January 13, 2020 at the age of 84.   Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of Walter and Julia McDonough.   An avid Bingo player, Thursday night bingo with her friends was never missed.  She was the beloved wife of the late Morgan J. Darcy, Sr. and the loving mother of  John Darcy,  Morgan J. Darcy, Jr. and his wife Pamela, Bridget Darcy and Julia Darcy, all residents of Dedham.  She was also the doting grandmother of Shane and Summer Darcy and sister of Michael McDonough and his wife Marilyn of Nantucket.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with her devoted pets, “Harley” and Thor.”  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 10AM to 12PM followed by a service at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Boston.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA  02284.
