Harry Edward Rauch, a resident of Northborough for 16 years, died suddenly Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Marlborough Hospital inn Marlborough, MA. He was 80 years old. He was born in Boston, the son of Harry E. Sr. and Mildred (Harper) Rauch Demers. Harry grew up in West Roxbury and graduated from Roslindale High School. He joined the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a very proud member of the U.S.S. Missouri Association and attended many of their reunions. Mr. Rauch owned and operated the Quality Fence Company in Dedham and also lived there for many years. Throughout the years he worked as a fence installer for Yoeman & O’Connel Fence Company, Meade & McGrath Fence Company as well as U.S. Steel Cyclone Fence Company. He was a long time member of the Laborers Union Local 560 and a past member of Iron Workers Local 7. Mr. Rauch was a volunteer at the Glover Hospital- Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center- Needham Campus for over 18 years. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol A. (Saunders) Rauch of Northborough; his children, Michael and Eileen Rauch of Shelburne Falls, Janus and Paul Leonard of Dedham, Lee Ann and Hilton Bell of Brooksville, FL, John Rauch of Carver, Grace LeClair of Tallahassee, FL, Joel and Deb Alaimo of San Antonio, TX, Lauren and John DeLorie of Wrentham, and Andrew Alaimo of Norton; and his sister Marguerite Fink of Westwood. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his late wife Luella E. Rauch. Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 from 11 am to 1 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. A graveside service will immediately follow at 1:15 at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
